Gordon Murray Automotive Set To Reveal An All-New Model Later This Month Entitled 'T.33'
After the incredible reception the epic T.50 received in the last 18 months, Gordon Murray Automotive has officially announced plans to unveil a new model on January 27th. This one will be called the ‘T.33’ and although no official information has been released yet, many have speculated about what it may entail.
Talking to TopGear in the past, Mr Murray said that the next creation would have “a different version of the [T.50’s] V12, with different materials and a different version of the gearbox.” This is likely to suggest then that the T.33 could be coming with a paddleshift automatic gearbox alongside a manual. We are led to believe from various sources too that the 3 seat configuration will be held back for the flagship T.50.
The T.33 should be equipped with a brand new and bespoke carbon fibre chassis but in a slightly different fashion to that of the T.50. Its focus is to be on comfort and usability often associated with grand tourers and as its name suggests somewhat, it’ll be just below the T.50 in the pecking order.
Being a GMA machine of course though, that’s no problem at all. The engineering prowess and design delights will ensure that the T.33 is going to be something of masterpiece and somewhat more attainable than the flagship car.
Where will the T.33 sit in today’s market? Its unlikely it’ll be a McLaren 720s rival but rivalling more limited-run cars like the Lamborghini Sian or Ferrari Daytona hypercar. Its price tag is most probably going to have 7 digits and production from the new facility is expected to begin in 2023.
More news as and when we get it – we eagerly anticipate the T.33 unveil on the 27th!
