McLaren have released pictures of a tribute to Ayrton Senna, a P1 GTR customised in the same Marlboro livery as the car in which Senna won his first F1 World Championship.

The track only car was commissioned by a McLaren collector to commemorate 30 years since Senna's first world title and is breathtakingly beautiful. The core colours are the famous McLaren Rocket Red and Anniversary White. And although you won't see any mention of tobacco, detailing includes the Senna Brand Trademark on the front splitter as well as in front of the air intake and each door and Senna's 1988 race number '12' on the nose. More than 800 hours were spent on the painting.

Engine power has been increased by complementing the McLaren P1 GTR's hybrid powertrain with a 24ct gold heat shield , Lexan rear cover and modified engine bay shrouds. Downforce has also been maximised with aerodynamic upgrades in order to make the most of that incredible engine power.

The car has been christened "Beco" by its owner in honour of the nickname given to Senna by his parents.

We think it is a suitably phenomenal tribute to the absolute legend that is Aryton Senna.
