A particularly striking and comprehensively modified example of Harley-Davidson's VRSCDX Night Rod Special, accompanied by a strong documentary history.

The Harley-Davidson vehicle record identifies this motorcycle as a 2014 model-year VRSCDX Night Rod Special in Black Denim, assembled in October 2013 and supplied through Harley-Davidson Europe. The motorcycle was originally registered in the UK in 2014.

Its history then takes it to Sweden. The accompanying Swedish Transportstyrelsen registration documents record the same VIN and identify the motorcycle as a Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special 1250. The bike was subsequently returned to the UK and re-registered, retaining a continuous documentary trail through the Harley-Davidson record, Swedish registration papers, UK V5C documentation and MOT certificates.

It now carries the exceptionally appropriate personalised registration V400 FAT, which is included with the motorcycle.

The V-Rod represents one of the most significant departures from Harley-Davidson tradition. Rather than the company's familiar air-cooled architecture, the V-Rod used the liquid-cooled Revolution V-twin, developed with engineering collaboration from Porsche. The result was a distinctly modern, high-performance Harley-Davidson platform and a model that occupies a unique place in the marque's history.

This example takes the already distinctive Night Rod platform considerably further. Its visual centrepiece is the dramatic 400-section rear conversion, giving the motorcycle its unmistakable stance and proportions.

The conversion is complemented by extensive blacked-out detailing, custom rear bodywork, bespoke stitched seat, wide bars, low-profile mirrors and lighting, custom exhaust and OPM Performance detailing. Porsche badging on the engine case provides a subtle reference to the engineering story behind the Revolution powerplant.

The overall presentation is predominantly satin and gloss black and reads as a cohesive custom build rather than a collection of individual accessories.

The motorcycle has covered 13,710 miles. Recent MOT documentation records 13,565 miles in May 2025 and 13,687 miles in June 2026. The current UK registration documentation records two former keepers.
