• The Ferrari 512 BBi represents the final evolution of Ferrari's groundbreaking Berlinetta Boxer series. Produced from 1981 to 1984, this mid-engine masterpiece refined the earlier carbureted 512 BB with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection (hence the "i" designation).

  The 512 BBi is instantly recognisable by its distinctive wedge-shaped silhouette, with a dramatically sloping nose and cut-off tail. Pininfarina's timeless design blends beauty with purpose, featuring pop-up headlights, signature quad circular taillights, and NACA ducts feeding air to the radiators and engine.

  Underneath its engine cover lies a magnificent 4.9-litre flat-12 engine producing 340 horsepower, capable of propelling the car to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 174 mph—blistering performance for its era.

  The 512 BBi marked the end of an era as Ferrari's last flat-12 road car before the Testarossa's introduction. Today, it stands as one of the most collectible Ferraris from the 1980s, embodying the raw mechanical beauty and driving experience that defined the marque during this pivotal era.

• The car was originally supplied to Maranello Egham in June 1982, with its original specification of Argento Metallizato over a Nero leather interior and grey cloth inserts.

 The speedometer was then replaced, and when the car was purchased by Rardley Motors in 2013. James Snowden of Automobile Solutions (who purchased the car on behalf of Sunil) was surprised to see 8200 miles on the new speedometer, as he looked after the car for Sunil and attests that he barely covered 1000 miles during his ownership. Sunil himself thought that he had covered around 300 miles during his ownership. It was then confirmed by James Snowdent that when the car went to Sunil’s private collection in the South of France, the speedometer was replaced by a local French dealer using a pre-owned odometer with the extra mileage.
