The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S Edition 1 is an exclusive, high-performance sports car that blends race-bred engineering with luxurious craftsmanship. Produced in a strictly limited run of just 375 units worldwide, the Edition 1 was introduced as a launch variant for the AMG GT S, offering a unique combination of aesthetic enhancements, performance upgrades, and interior refinement that set it apart from the standard model.

Under the bonnet, it features a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering approximately 503 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, enabling a blistering 0–60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed approaching 193 mph. The engine is paired with a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission, providing rapid gear changes and a responsive driving experience.

The Edition 1 package includes a number of distinctive aerodynamic components, most notably a fixed rear wing, extended front splitter with aerodynamic flicks, side skirts, and a carbon fibre roof – all designed to improve downforce and stability at high speeds. These elements are complemented by AMG’s Night Package, which adds gloss black accents to the exterior trim, giving the car a menacing, track-focused appearance. The staggered matte black alloy wheels – 19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear – complete the aggressive stance.

Inside, the AMG GT S Edition 1 continues its luxurious theme with performance seats upholstered in Nappa leather and DINAMICA microfibre, accented with red contrast stitching and seat belts. The cabin features exclusive "Black Diamond" textured trim and a flat-bottom AMG steering wheel with an Edition 1 badge and black 12 o’clock marker in leather. Every element of the interior is designed to create a driver-centric environment that doesn’t compromise on luxury.

The chassis is built on a lightweight aluminium space-frame, enhancing rigidity while keeping the overall weight around 1,645 kg. AMG Ride Control suspension, dynamic engine and transmission mounts, and an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential ensure the car handles with exceptional precision, whether on a mountain pass or a racetrack. 

In terms of technology and comfort, the car is equipped with the COMAND infotainment system, navigation, dual-zone climate control, a Burmester surround sound system, and a suite of driver assistance features including Parktronic, blind-spot monitoring, lane tracking, and adaptive high-beam assist.
